Important Details

Parent Helpers, Check-In & Dismissal

Final reminders for a smooth and successful recital day.

Parent Helpers

We appreciate all the help we can get! If you would like to be a parent helper (help backstage during the show and watch your dancer from the audience), sign up online now so we know which classes will have a helper.

Helper Sign Up

Dancer Check-In

Please take your dancer with you through the theatre and help them find their spot backstage or in the green-room.

If your dancer is in multiple dances, help them organize costumes backstage and ensure they know where to wait before each dance.

  • Dancers are backstage for 2-3 hours.
  • Please bring water, costume-safe snacks, and entertainment.
  • Label everything — from iPads to tap shoes.

Leaving Early

If you need to leave early, all plans and arrangements must be made before the show begins.

Once the show begins, only the back/stagedoor of the theatre is open for entry and exit. Ensure your dancer knows you are leaving early and to meet you at the back/stagedoor.

Dismissal

At the end of the show, dancers are dismissed through the theatre back/stagedoor, youngest first.

Fall Registration

Returning members avoid increased membership fees by registering early. Confirm your spot now to lock in last year’s membership rates.

Referral Discount

As our thank you for helping build our community, each new member referred earns you a $50 credit.

Photo Day & Show Day

Stage Hair and Make-up

Helpful reminders so dancers feel polished, prepared, and stage-ready.

Make-up

Makeup is highly recommended to add professionalism and polish performances. For makeup, please wear only brown eyes, rosy cheeks, and red lips.

Light makeup is recommended for photos, but there is no such thing as too much makeup for the stage. Clear stud earrings are welcome for pictures and on stage.

Hair

For hair, a mid-high ponytail at the crown of the head and a tight ballet bun for junior, intermediate, and senior ballet.

Flyaway hairs should be sprayed or gelled down. The ponytail can be curled or braided. For students with hair too short for a bun or ponytail, please see your teacher.
